Dear WAG

RE: Cornish Golf Weekend: St Mellion / Launceston / Moretonhampstead 10 - 12 September 1999 (last chance prior to the Millenium!)

Will the Latham Salver return across the Atlantic! What will happen at this Ryder Cup preview, before the real one two weeks later!

We have made a provisional booking for 28 members and guests, on a similar basis to last year:

2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast with 1 round on the Old Course (Warm up), 1 round on the JACK NICKLAUS course (Stunningly difficult), 1 round at Manor House Hotel Golf Course, Moretonhampstead (Stunningly scenic), free use of motorised buggies.

Cost approximately: 240 per person all inclusive. (excluding alcohol, bar lunches, golfballs, other optional extras.

Launceston, on Friday 10 Sept. will also be extra but should be very reasonable. Anticipated start 12 noon.

The Nicklaus tee off will be at l pm, allowing time for the free use of the superb St Mellion facilities afterwards. The Old Course start will therefore be fairly early (very early for Rhod James!)

Moretonhampstead is located high on Dartmoor, 12 miles from Exeter. This will mean that the return drive to London will be 1 hour less than earlier years. A very fast train service from Exeter to London Paddington is also available.

We need to pay a deposit by the end of February. I should therefore ask everyone who wishes to come to send me a deposit cheque for 50 by 23 February 1999, to my home address above. Afternatively, add 50 to your subscription cheque as suggested by Fred Berring, and pay Fred by 23 February. St Mellion is under new management and there will be no leeway this year. I shall determine final numbers therefore on 23 February.

Act fast! Do not lose out! Send a cheque right away! I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Yours sincerely

RICHARD LATHAM
